Why even bother creating another system if you're gonna add the remote option as well? Now Gmax is just a useless fancy raid. If you couldn't do some gmax what's the matter? You still had raids and a bunch of stuff to do, it was a differentiation between community members and solo players.
I live on a rural zone myself and i personally walked or drove to a nearby city to join the community, people called friends to start playing, now there is no point, let's just be lazy like everyone else.
I ve not gotten a G-Max yet . We only have 3 of us that play rurally
I wouldn’t call that bad news, just being able to remote them is a win

I need to learn some things and power up mons before I do any of the harder battles. I want to help in the best way I can.
one thing to note is that snorlax's tankieness is all in its HP stat, like blissey. but raid bosses have a set HP stat so the only thing affecting how tanky they are is the defence stat, and snorlax actualy has a pretty low defence stat at 169. for reference, gengar has a defence stat of 149.
so despite being a traditionaly tanky mon, snorlax will actualy be relatively easy to take down since it has just average attack and lower defence.

Ditto? Dang that is totally useless for veteran players. Got like 4 shiny ditto. EDIT: oh it’s just South Korea. They are farming the kanto Pokemon for every country that hasn’t played this game $$$
That’s dumb using double the resources for one raid. This whole dmax and gmax is just implemented so terrible.

think it may limit to 5 overall remote passes per day since power spot (drop your pokemon) share overall number with gyms you drop your pokemon in. (20 overall spots/gyms max).
