My theory based off playing the games you will need to get a dynamax zacian or zamanta and in dynamax battles instead of dynamaxing you will change forms

I'm guessing the crown forms are going to act like a fusion with an item distributed during the event, instead of another Pokemon, and "crown" energy won from raids BUT it's also very probable they can't learn their signature/adventure effect move unless you catch one during the event that knows a signature move; similar to how any Kyurem could fuse but only the ones that knew Glaciate could learn an adventure effect move when fused.
And yeah, they won't be able to Dynamax because TPC/Nintendo won't allow them to break the lore but the crowned forms WILL be able to battle Dynamax Pokemon; maybe the adventure effect has something to do with Dynamax battles too.

So you think since it’s an item that zacian and zamazenta will get items like rayquaza will their form change be like a mega evolution? And that therefore they won’t have a dynamax?

Zacian and zama can't dmax. They can however, be used in dmax raids, and when they are, their signature moves double in power. That's probably how they're gonna work in go

Crown/shield version might make them dmax pokemon so that they will be able to be used in d/gmax raids annoying to get them again in dmax raids because of lack of balls to catch them in those raids be easily to beat with metagross though.

Guys most likely they will make it like the actual game where you can use zacian and zamazenta in dynamax raids they will probably stay regular Pokémon not become dynmax versions and when you make them crowned you can use them in dymax raids it makes more sense and ties in the fact that there moves do extra damage to dymax Pokémon only it will make it so you can use them both in regular raids and dymax raids
