And Korean wiis that were hacked to be region free DID get bricked. So this update to the Eula can and most probably will be enforced. So miss me with the “they just say that so you don’t ask for repairs after modding”. What if stick drift is still a thing. And Nintendo is creating a get out of jail free card essentially.
Palworld patents – Creating a patent and filing for infringement after a games already released for very broad things like gliding while holding an animals ankles. Or throwing a spherical object to capture an animal is ludicrous and should be illegal. What is a Lasso if not the original pokeball. Again you fanboys ran and said things such as” but WB patented the nemesis system and Sony and Xbox have loads of patents etc”. None of them have enforced those patents. World of Warcraft infringes on said patents but Nintendo would never sue because they’re not trying to win the court battle for legitimate reason but rather to hindered Palworld. And if they get their way in court they set a precedent in Japan at least and basically monopolize all the patents they’ve filed and any game dev who is too successful with an idea that Nintendo feels threatened by will be sued if they are not too large a company. Nintendo literally has a patent for viewing your character in a 3d world from a 3rd person perspective. Sony and Microsoft have MORE PATENTS than Nintendo yet they’ve never gone down this route.
I could go on about 80 usd games and how that is a spit in the face of all the kids who didn’t choose their parents financial situation growing up. Or ppl in general ego didn’t choose what part of the world they’re born in. Like Brazil. Or Nintendo gods forbid somewhere in Africa.

They do DLC and micro transactions just like the rest. Mario kart 8 Deluxe plus booster course pack. IS THE DELUXE EDITION. it’s no different from a deluxe edition upgrade.
MK8 itself was a a deluxe edition rerelease on switch. So you have to get the deluxe edition of the deluxe edition to actually get the full MK8 experience on switch. Not to mention Amiibo paywalling quality of life features. And NSO ‘free’ upgrades mean that if you stop paying they revoke your upgrade therefore it’s not free contrary to many reports. You’re loaning the upgrade for x amount a year.
If you subscribe to this. There’s nothing at this point I can tell you, keep getting fisted. Don’t excuse it to “Reggie’s gone”or “Iwata would do it differently” No they wouldn’t. From the point Nintendo stopped being the monopoly in gaming in the late 80s/ early90s they’ve been scrambling to figure out how to get back there. And they’ve used you, the customer, legally or illegally they’ve exploited you to buy their overpriced games and hardware to support them to reach where they are now. Legally they do you with the new Eula and illegally they have done you like with stick drift for example and the article I linked.

What makes you think that Nintendo does microtransactions for their console games? Outside of their mobile games and first-party F2P console games, Nintendo doesn’t throw in microtransactions and/or loot boxes into their games. Do you expect Mario Kart World to be gacha game?
