Just wanted to share my experience getting a Joycon replaced by Nintendo Australia. I was never able to find any other clear info about what the process is like in Australia, so here it is 😊
Hope this helps any other Aussies suffering joycon drift!
I started with their online form here: https://www.nintendo.com/au/service-and-repairs/console-repair/
-I just wrote 'joycon drift' as the fault in this online form.
-Recieved an email pdf a few seconds later, printed that out and put in the package (just an old plastic bag pack)
-Printed my receipt from amazon from when I bought it (it was out of warranty, around 2 years old, this didn't matter!) put that in the package too.
-I sent the R joycon to the nintendo address in VIC, wrapped in some bubble wrap. (kept the L joycon and console at home).
-Used sendle to send it to Nintendo Aust., cost me ~$7
-Received a replacement joycon in the mail 20 days later, same colour as before (blue). I didn't get any email update or phone calls during the 20 days, it just showed up in the mail. The replacement was free.
Overall, I got a free replacement in a fairly decent timeframe, only cost me a few dollars postage.
