Bringing SS Bede to 4 Ultimate Battles [Pokemon Masters EX]

I said in the Raikou solo video that SS Bede shines a lot more in 3v3 stages like Ultimate Battles, so I figured I’d actually bring him in those stages to get a better sense of his utility. And, well, he does fare better in them, though he definitely doesn’t carry a team on his own and needs good partners.

I brought him to a few of the stages that would appreciate his kit. Since I only have him at 3/5, I can’t use his Def + Sp Def debuff tile at 4/5, which would definitely make him a good pick in a few other UBs.

As a future paradox mon, Iron Valiant was given some passives related to Electric Terrain. SS Hau provides an endless supply of it, and coupled with Sp Def debuffs from both him and Bede, they’re able to be solid answers against best boy’s UB. There’s also, of course, the fun visual of an Iron Valiant going against a Mega Gallade.

Innate Impervious is one of Bede’s very few defensive tools, but it definitely helps him against Morgan’s UB, which also appreciates his constant Sp Def debuffs. I also couldn’t resist pairing him with Florian given his story event, though I went with the Academy version as that’s the one that’s more useful for this stage. NC Blue of course did NC Blue things.

Absolutely loved the Bede-Rose dynamic in the story event, but since I don’t have Rose invested (and he isn’t a good pick in most UBs that Bede would be good in anyway), I went with Oleana instead. Her debuffs + Bede’s made them fitting answers for Evelyn’s UB, with SSA Cynthia providing sustain.

Of course. Wanted to do one where SS Bede is the only damage dealer, and that ended up with me having to give Rosa Mind Games 2 to ensure that Bede can use that sync multiplier lmao.
