Party Hat Pikachu will be around to celebrate Pokémon Day on February 27th, but like any good birthday, the celebrations will go on longer than the day itself.
The Pokémon Day event lasts between February 26th until February 28th – just two days.
What is special about Party Hat Pikachu on Pokémon Day?
Pokémon Day sees the following happening for the duration of the event:
There are increased Pikachu spawns, each wearing a Party Hat.
Each Party Hat Pikachu catch gives three times Stardust (300 Stardust compared to 100)
** Each Party Hat Pikachu knows the move Present
** There is a chance Party Hat Pikachu is a shiny
** The chance of a Party Hat Pichu hatching from Eggs
It’s these last two elements that make it different from last year’s Party Hat Pikachu, making it a valuable catch for completionists.
