the idea is that this is a fossil mon that looks like a moder pokemon but it has no evolutionary connections
because it is a convergent form.

I don’t know what the connection to modding is, but using Sudowoodo (and Bonsly) for a fossil Pokémon to represent a tree (as how he’s commonly confused got a Grass-type) that has been fossilized and turned into stone (Rock-type) is kind of genius. Maybe Grass/Rock for usual half-rock fossil typing or Grass/Psychic to explain the glitchy nature and color?
You could also explain the glitchy look as the computer that was storing the DNA information having glitched and corrupted the data.

Genious idea! maybe this is a the tree that Sudowoodo copied some millions of years earlier. Because of Sudowoodo not being eatable by herbirvore, they stopped approaching these trees and eating their fruits, thus making them not able to spread their species through dung and boom, exctinct while sudowoodo is stil alive.

the idea here was a prehistoric mushroom( which appeared and went extinct before the first trees started) and as sudowoodo is commonly seen as a plant, thought they are rocks. mushrooms were sometimes seen or compared to plants, thought they are not related.

No clue what your actual inspiration was for these designs but its giving prototaxites and I love that
Edit: Just saw your reply, yes that fungus is prototaxites. Not a mushroom, closer to a lichen I believe. Doesn’t change that the idea of a Sudowoodo prototaxites convergent is extremely clever, the two even kinda looked similar with the long sausage body

Ooh… looks kinda like a Psychic or Poison type maybe

So, regional fakes of the Sudowoodo line, but they’re also fossils?

I think it a poison rock type fossil Pokemon
Possible names
Fungly —> Sudofungo
Guijit
Very cool idea, It makes complete sense evolutionarily, so would be cool to see in an official game. Very good post op

Oh no pollution hit sudowudo like it hit corsala

Did you watch that Kurzgesagt episode about time-traveling to the worst periods of Earth’s history?
So, these are SUPER ancient Pokemon. Maybe even older than Mew, somehow?
NikTheGrass
It looks more like fusion between Sudowoodo and Goodra or Sudowoodo and Spiritomb
AmethystDragon2008
okay, hear me out, a Reverse sudowudo, q tree that pretends to be a rock
