Really appreciate all the comments and awareness surrounding this break-in that happened to a close friend of mine: OG Post
With a lot of thanks to a lot of ya’ll we were able to do some detective works and crack the case!
Without revealing too much of investigation, we were able to track the serials and trace it back to a pawn shop. The police + detective squad was able to access the cameras and recover most of the collection back!
Unfortunately some were sold and were not able to trace back. The pic below shows what we were able to recover!
For the perp: it seems they were already caught and in holding for another crime they committed. Not sure whats going to happen bow to them, but we’re just extremely happy to recover what we can. There was a few more items that was stolen, but honestly, I think our full focus were to get back the big hits.
Stay vigilant people!!!! The craze is having everyone loopy. Sad it has to come to this!!
Some of our learnings from this:
1) get renters insurance or some kind of coverage for high priced items
2) Cameras pointing towards framed / shelved collections + Nest cams for outside
3) LOCKING DOORS + WINDOWS!
