If you weren't aware, even though we're 9 generations in with over 1,000 pokemon, the Crobat line is somehow still the only poison/flying types we have, so that's the main inspiration of these guys. They're all based on rockhopper penguins and oil spills and ocean pollution. A bit of a mixed concept for me personally cause I think it's a really creative way to turn a flightless bird into a flying type, but yet I absolutely hate seeing images of animals covered in oil or animals that have human trash stuck on them. I could go on and on about how much I hate humanity for how we just throw our trash wherever and are slowly killing our planet, but I shall avoid ranting and get into these guys instead
Pengunk is just penguin and gunk combined. They ride a giant oil bubble and have one of those plastic can holder things stuck on them. Sludguin is sludge and penguin combined. They now have a life preserver made of oil around their waist to help them fly and the soda can thing is stuck around their neck. And finally, Muckhopper is just muck and rockhopper combined, probably the most simple name of my fakemon so far. They now have a layer of stretchy oil stuck between their wings and body which they use like a sugar glider does to glide across large distances. The soda can thing has now been replaced with a fishnet which also kinda looks like a cape. The trash on each of these guys doesn't add anything to help them fly or anything, just helps add to the whole ocean pollution concept
