I like the idea they're being a building you go to to do it that reminds me of the linking battles from the original Pokemon game series but I feel like they're going to do it where you put a request out from the sounds of it and then someone can accept it and then complete the trade if they do
They need a message feature in the game so when remote trading happens we can ask friends which Pokémon they have

I imagine special trades will not be possible to do remotely. So it won't help at all if you don't have something registered already.
I was wondering why people invite me to raids even though I don't have it showing I'm online. I always have a mega running on rotation even when I'm not playing.

Now that they have all the data they wanted, they've sold to Scopely, and Scopely are not interested in harvesting that data – they just want to make money, so they're finally allowing us to purchase all the "remote" stuff that we've been asking for.
