He's just getting into Pokemon. I really know nothing about it. Recently snagged him a Prismatic ETB and SPC from target.
SPC – He pulls hyper rare gold Pikachu, along with a SIR that's worth around $100, and a few master balls
ETB – He pulls a few nice cards in the $10-40 range. Last pack then pulls a Ceruledge SIR that's apparently worth around $200
We're at target tonight. He was really hoping for a DR ETB. All gone. Just had some 3 pack blisters of DR and Surging Sparks. I let him get two of each. He says "I really hope I get the rare pikachu". Pulls nothing from the first 11 packs. Last pack… and he pulls the pikachu.
His luck has to run out eventually. Will be a sad day, because at this point I think he believes every purchase is going to end with pulling some crazy card in the last pack.
