Nintendo Switch

I can’t believe the Switch 2 has a LAN port — and I missed it until now!

So I had preordered my Switch 2 for a little while now, and I just realized unboxing it that it has built-in LAN support. I completely missed that on the technical sheet— I was so used to the awful Wi-Fi performance on the original Switch that I never even thought to check!

Anyway, I hooked it up with an Ethernet cable and… wow. Online play is night and day compared to the Switch 1. Games that used to stutter or lag constantly now feel smooth and stable. No more random disconnects, no more pulling my hair out trying to game online or downloading games that used to take ages even though I had a gigabit connection.

Honestly, I didn’t expect this to make such a huge difference, but it really elevates the whole experience. If you’ve got a Switch 2 and haven’t taken advantage of the LAN connection yet — do it. Total game-changer.
