Ever since Primal Clash came out, I have been trying to complete the set. The two most elusive cards for me have been Team Magma's Mightyena and Team Magma's Groudon Ex. Of course I pulled two Team Aqua's Kyogre EX and tried trading one then. No one wanted to trade despite my dupe being in pristine condition. I ended up having it put away into a tin (sleeved and top loaded of course) and forgot about it while finishing college. Earlier this year, I found the Kyogre in the tin and decided to take it to events for trades. No luck, until today.
This morning, I bid in an auction for Groudon and lost (condition of the card sucked anyway). I was a bit disgruntled, but had a good feeling Groudon would come into my possession eventually. I went to my local league today and met someone who had Groudon EX in the same condition as my Kyogre EX and was willing to trade.
It feels so good to finally have this card after a long hunt. I also ended up buying the Mightyena, so the set is officially complete.
