I had no expectations for this set because I never imagined that I would be able to find it. After 7-8 months of empty shelves, I've stumbled across Destined Rivals twice now! I never expected such vibrant and fun illustrations- with mostly Pokemon that I recognize and love!
Just today, I found 6 packs at the gas station and my boyfriend pulled this insane card! My best pull was this adorable Growlithe and a bunch of other cool little guys. The artwork for Destined Rivals is my personal favorite from modern sets now and I've even started to learn how to play the card game because of it.
I never expected to find a pack, let alone love the artwork as much as I do. It's just as exciting as it was when I was a kid and I'm stoked to finally learn how to play.
