Everyone seems very concerned that DK Banaza being (most likely) worked on by Odyssey team means that 3D Mario is a long way away. I think this is exactly what happened. It's a new team that has several developers from Odyssey team, but is now separate from 3D Mario. Safe to say 3D Mario is coming sooner rather than later (would be shocked to not see it within next 18 months).
