There used to be myths about wood and stone coming to life and scaring away unfortunate people and creatures who would be nearby. For years, these were often called tall tales…until recently when these creatures were finally spotted in the wild.
Wraifence are grumpy spirits, constantly replacing old and broken planks they possess with newer ones. They prefer being alone or with fellow Wraifence in which they form a long fence-like wall. If disturbed they will spring to life and try to scare the intruders away. It is said that if enough Wraifence are together then their spirits will start to merge and be able to possess stronger materials…
Fortergeist are the result of that convergence – the spirits twisting stone into a much larger castle-like wall. Despite it's continued grumpiness, it will house and defend smaller creatures behind it's sturdy defenses. People have claimed that if you look closely, you can see humanoid ghosts in the black fog it emits: their white eyes glowing with determination.
