The lack of game updates and communication makes it feel like the switch 2 is failing to even be a switch pro.

Waiting indefinitely for xenoblade patches makes me feel like I should emulate them instead. The same goes for pokemon arceus, skyward sword, metroid dread, and a few other titles.

I bought the switch 2 to play xenoblade 1-3 in atleast 1080p. These games use simple config files for their graphics, and can run with increased frame rates and resolution on modded switch 1 consoless:

Witcher 3 – config files

Xenoblade 1 – config files

Xenoblade 3 – config files

Nearly every single switch game already has code to toggle resolution between docked and handheld, it's shouldn't be a super difficult change.

Switch 1 pirates have software to actively toggle between docked and handheld modes. Why isn't this function available for switch 2? Why are we stuck on 720p on a 1080p screen?

What was so secretive and groundbreaking about the switch 2 that it wasn't sent out to even game devs until launch. All this seems to have done is delay patches and game development?

I want to throw money at games which show off the power of the system on my TV.

Brother the console released 2 weeks ago, if the Switch 1 is anything to go by we still have 8 more years to get stuff so chill out

  2. You shouldn’t expect patches from 3rd party games. Most are done and devs have moved on. Thst doesn’t mean the S2 is a huge leap in performance and makes even the S1 run smoother and better.

Bc developers need to release updates to allow it.

And question would you rather them waste time doing a update for s1 games over making new exclusives games for the s2.

Bc for me I rather the games not be updated and they put all their focus on making their next game on s2 run amazing

And the reason some devs didn’t get it bc certain devs will leak the specs etc of the s2. Nintendo didn’t want that.

They only gave it to the partners they trust or partners thsy thought that could bring a great game to the s2 to show how powerful the s2 is. Eg cyberpunk

The Switch 2 came out two weeks ago? Were you expecting to receive everything 48hrs after launch?

But there was no indication that this would be possible at launch, if ever. They outlined specific games that were getting updates prior to release. Anything else is just hope until it happens or gets announced.

You’re buying the wrong system then. PS5 Pro or PC would do exactly what you would like.
