Meet Glyptador, the Heavy Shell Pokemon! (Design based on Glyptodon, a giant prehistoric armadillo, and conquistadors)
Glyptador are Steel-types with one of the thickest shells of any Pokemon! As long as they keep their feet planted and don't get flipped over, their defenses are all but unbreakable! And if they need to fight back, they have a powerful spiked club tail as well.
However, it's this same armor that caused it to be a prime target of human hunting in the past… Overseas empires especially valued its shell, and even modeled their own armor in its likeness. Nowadays, it is a protected species and its numbers have recovered, with strict anti-poaching laws in place.
In battle, Glyptador is a wall with access to moves such as Curse and Iron Defense that can make its Defense even higher! It also has powerful attacks such as Heavy Slam, Body Press, Iron Head, Gyro Ball, and Earthquake!

Absolutely love it’s design and it’s name. Surprisingly mediocre Defense for what looks like it’s meant to be a dedicated defensive wall.
I can see it getting a ‘Signature’ ability like Fur Coat which doubles the users Defense stat.
