I suggested this to my LCS and they said it would scare away customers. Even though several other people in there agreed with me. They are also selling Prismatic at market and sold black/white pre-orders at some stupid prices, $150 per etb.

Boxes are brought out… You’re asked what way you want the product then very carefully unsealed… This really shouldn’t be the way it has to be done but those are the times.
Lots of people that choose unsealed rip right there in the shop in the games room

So because I like to collect sealed product, I have to pay Moore or do nothing. Even though I’m not a scholar.

I don’t care if this gets downvoted but this practice is stupid and I will not commend it.
An LCS can do other things if they want to protect against scalpers but this community views investors and scalpers as the same regardless of intent or actual interest in the hobby.
The price for the booster bundle opened is a great price. It isn’t the job of the LCS to gatekeep what happens with what they sell. To argue against that the LCS isn’t controlling what someone does with the packs, only how they receive them.
To me it is much easier for them to open them and sell per pack, but I guess you could argue they could weigh them ahead of time, which further makes the argument against mine more reasonable. I just don’t appreciate a higher price to leave it sealed
