Pokemon Trading Card Game

I need to know if I was right to believe this Machamp wasn’t legit…

So I posted a few cards that I had on Facebook marketplace and I had a bunch of people hit me up but we're not in particular his name is Andrew wanted to trade me his 8.5 Beckett rated Machamp for I think it was like my Darkrai VStar, Deoxys VStar, N's Reshiram, SIR Mimikyu, and my Tag Team Charizard and Braxien. I was down but something felt off about it so I looked up the number on the Beckett label and it did in fact pull up an 8.5 Machamp from base set however the card inside of his Beckett rating was the first edition Machamp and whenever I looked online it said it was they said unlimited. Does that mean he was trying to fool me??

It doesn’t even look straight. It’s slanted to the right 😭😭

I don’t know Becket slabs so I can’t comment on whether it’s real or not, yet a few things to note about what you wrote.

    1. The Machamp is a promo card and always included the first edition stamp. Even the unlimited version.

    2. Generally you won’t see a fake slabs at mid to low grades. Especially of generally undesired pokemon vintage.

    3. A becket Machamp sold for 100 euros at 9 a while back. This one is probably around 80-100. I haven’t looked up the prices of all your cards, but considering it contains a charizard tagteam I highly doubt your cards are worth less or equal to the Machamp.

My guess is that it’s real. It’s just a really bad deal for you, so I wouldn’t take it.
