While I do like Dendra, it kinda bothers me how she specializes in Fighting-Type Pokémon. The main reason is in its redundancy, as Paldea has one Specialist for every type(including Rock, thanks to Tyme), so having both Eri and Dendra be Fighting-type specialists just feels uneeded. Not to mention Fighting as a type has had a specialist in every generation so far, so it feels even more baffling that they two here, especially since I think Dendra's team could've had a really interesting theme of Pokémon that represent different sports, instead of just Fighting-type.
In this hypothetical team, I gave her Masquerain(ice-skating), Golduck(swimming), Slaking(sumo, plus its lazy nature is a fun contrast to Dendra), and the three Paldean Tauros variants, for some Paldea reprentation(and also bullfighting).
I am aware that Dendra being a Fighting-type expert has to do with Tulip being a Psychic-type expert, as Dendra losing to her is cited as the reason she helps during Tulip's Gym Trial, but I think the reason she lost being because of Tulip's Gym Leader status and strength could be enough. So what do you think? It's honestly not a big deal, I just wanted to share my thoughts, so let me know 🙂
