I came up with this about 6 years ago when I was 13. I had an original draft paper for it, but I lost it. I am also still no better at drawing. The name is temporary, but I can't seem to settle on anything decent. I tried to scan it, but the printer isn't working.
"Solender", Fire/Bug
"Once a lava flow has cooled, they are always the first to arrive in the area. They use their abdomens' high brightness and heat to resemble lava flow when traveling in tightly-knit groups, which help ward off potential threats to their newly-found territory."
"When they heat up their abdomens, that heat spreads to the rest of their bodies, including the legs, which must be then exhausted through holes on the head. As a result, you can tell when a colony has passed through due to the countless tiny indentations following a wavy line."
