Tera types will be the most beneficial in PVP. Metas will shift, certain pokemon stuck with bad typing will becomes relevant.
The pool of the meta will wide. Such as mons stuck with bug, rock, or ice typing will be PVP threats.
Submitted multiple pokestop suggestions in my area, such as statues, memorials, and other art /hidden-gems, all got rejected or reported? Meanwhile someone submits a pokestop outside the local "gentlemen's club" and it gets accepted, even a building that was demolished 3 years ago recently "respawned" as a brand new pokestop 😆👏 Fix that first before adding new stuff imo. I am now fortunate enough to have 2 gyms and 8 pokestops I can spin from my apartment but sucks for the local community since there is so much more potential and interesting stop-areas.
Oh yeah as far as typing goes with Tera typing.
Any pokemon can be any Tera typing so long as it has available typing moves. Tera blast allows the majority of pokemon to be any Tera typing.
Pretty sure it's going to be next year.
More than likely, they will introduce Tera shards. Doing raids offers Tera shards.
Probably have to do Tera raids to get Tera shards, combine them and you can apply a Tera typing to most pokemon.
You'll for sure be able to Tera in raids and in PVP.
With how they introduced the Dynamax mechanic, I am not looking forward to this at all.
just going to summarize it
-It override the Pokémon's current type or types to 1 type.
-While Terastalized It keeps it's old stab bonus and add an stab bonus of its Terastalizetion type.
-You can use it defensively to take away an weakness
-Or offensively. for example Terastalized a ground type for 2 times ground stab.
-Terrablast is normal but after you Terastalized it becomes your current type.
-All wild pokemon can Terastalize it type is random from its base type. But you can catch ones on spot to specials typing.
-There is a item to forcefully change the terra type on a pokemon
-you can only have 1 per battle.
-There is also Stellar type it acts as a new pokemon type.
Thanks for showing me how to micro drift with my location I hatched 2 eggs and didnt have a poke stop next to my house but when I do it it pings me off near a gym and poke stop
The only way that a Pokémon could have a different Tera type than it’s regular type is if it’s caught in a Tera raid or has its Tera type changes by using 50 Tera shards of the type wanted
When you Terastilize you turn into your Tera type but keep the STAB for your original typings and you pick up STAB and the weaknesses of the Tera type, dropping the weaknesses/resistances from your original typing. Say you have a TTar that’s Tera Ghost. You Terastilize, you’re now immune to fighting and normal moves, and you get STAB on your Tera Ghost as well Rock and Dark moves. So you essentially have 3 types now. Tera Blast changed type when you Terastilize. If you don’t, it’s a normal type moves. Think Judgement, Arceus signature move. The whole mechanic pretty busted lol

Honestly I think they are relying on third part GPS tech so it likely can;t be an easy fix.
A few days after go fest there was a nerf to basically all top raid attackers which dropped their dps by i believe roughly 10% so essentially its not any easier to take down raids now than before, i think well be seeing massive nerfs in the near future
But they entire game is based on pvp battle but yet it the least focused aspect of the game
Spitballing a few ideas to incorporate z-moves, dynamax, terastallization to pvp.
Z-moves would consume z-crystals found by adventuring (catching, walking buddy, raiding, etc). Z-moves would deal 2x the base damage of the move that shares the z-crystal type (base 60 if only fast move shares the type or if nothing shares the type of the z-crystal). Z-moves deal 25% damage if shielded. Usable once per battle.
D-max/g-max usable by capable pokemon only and only activates for 30 secs (including animation) after charged move minigame. Bonus damage done based on max attack level. Reduced damage taken based on max guard level. Small recovery based on max spirit level.
Terastallization will be activated after charged move mini-game and stays until end of battle. Same effects as main games. Resistance profile based on tera type. Stab profile based on base typing plus tera type.
I don’t play any of the console games. I’m Go and Pocket only. So these crystal pokemon are so weird to me

Terastalization is the worst gimmick imo. I hope it never comes to pogo. If it does at least I'll finally be able to take a break from this game. Even if i can tolerate the gimmick, i cannot stand the goofy @$$ way they look. Crowns so big, they be giving all the pokemon broken necks 😂 Z moves are pretty cool in the anime but hard to see that working in pogo. Honestly not everything needs to be incorporated into Pokémon go

It’s hilarious to me that you didn’t know what terasteralizing was. It’s been around for a few years now. There’s also a stellar Tera type. Which is all types in one Tera form.
My prediction for Tera in Go (based on scivi mechanics)
1) all raids will give a small number of tera shards that are same type of the mon in the raid.
2) specific tera raids which let you get the mon with a tera already, and a much larger number of tera shards
3) no mon comes with tera already (on console they do), and it will cost 50 tera shards to give a mon their tera type (same as in game)
4 – im not sure on duration, but i feel it would be one of two things. 1, similar to mega, 1 pokemon can be terastalised at a time and will last X time. Or 2, you can tera and it will last only for your next raid/battle
Can’t wait to hunt those Terra type pokemon only found in Terra raid dens 😢 the grind is endless

Tbh this was obvious like I'm every game there's always something. It all started with megas so pokemon like sableye and camerupt and stuff like that got screwed when they left so it's possible teras would at least level everything out a little more.
