Updated (and hopefully less blurry) art of Yiek and Stopfright! I added the shiny, too. I thought a deep red would be fitting of a ghost type, but I did consider purple, too.
Yiek, the Stoplight Pokemon, is a small yield light shaped Pokemon who appears occasionally in nighttime cities and dark roads. They’re little tricksters, but don’t usually mean any harm. These tricks typically involve flashing their light at the wrong time, making it advised that you pay close attention to what light is real and what light isn’t. This species likes eating plastics and collecting shiny objects, so their chosen streets are often very clean. There are also several documented cases of drivers encountering the species late at night on lonely roads without lights at all, leading professors to believe the Yiek are attempting to fulfill some sort of purpose. It’s said that when you give a Yiek a coin, you’re paying for your safety down the road.
Stopfright, the Stoplight Pokemon, is a slightly larger Pokemon shaped like a street light. They frequent all of the same places Yieks do, but in smaller numbers, as they don’t like sharing streets with other Stopfrights. This species of Pokemon takes great joy in snatching hats off of people’s heads and running off with them. Stopfrights have the unfortunate instinct of replacing real stoplights and flashing their own colors, leading to frequent motor accidents. In response, city officials have put slower speed limits in place to reduce the damage. These Pokemon are awfully hard to get rid of and trainers in these cities can sign up to be paid for defeating them. Residents of these Stopfright streets have noticed the Pokémon’s lack of trickery when it comes to them, as the Pokemon likely remembers the offerings it received as a Yiek.
