  1. This is the best way to do NES games. So many of them have like, 10 minute soundtracks at most. Bundle em like this and it’s an actual substantial update.

    Also Excitebike’s OST slaps

  2. Oh thank god that Pinball is one there, my drives to work will never be the same again.

I had to do a double take when I read the number of games that got added, haha

Hell yeah now I’m hoping that’ll stop people moaning about the drip-feeding! 😛 Sadly NES/Famicom stuff likely won’t fit into my chill/sleep playlist but that’s okay- nice to have a whole bunch of games added at once!

Thats actually good for once. I still want Xenoblade though.

Man that golf soundtrack. Mario Galaxy you have some competition.

This drop was basically them just adding all the arcade ports and other launch era Famicom/NES games. The ones with tiny soundtracks. I expect later NES games, as well as soundtracks from pretty much every other console, to go back to the usual one a week.

Pretty funny to have 26 new soundtracks all of a sudden added though lol

    45 whole minutes of music.

Could have been one a week I guess

Damn, I was hoping Monopoly was on the list. Somehow the music from that game has indelibly imprinted in my brain and stayed there for 30 years and regularly pushes to the front. Maybe next wave.

Most of these are only a minute long. It’s really good that they got a huge chunk of their arcade-style releases in one go, though, rather than stretching these out.

  11. They even got the tracks from Duck Hunt, Hogan’s Alley, and Wild Gunman! That’s surprising considering none of those titles are available on the NSO library.

  12. So Now We Can Say We Got Donkey Kong Jr. Math, Ocarina Of Time 3D, And All 0 Non-SFX Golf Tracks Before A Single Entry Of Several Beloved Series. I Am Actually Happy To See This Though, This Is A Major Step In The Right Direction. We Got Over 200 Songs (Even If Only An Hour Long)

Good that means the only notable NES games left to add are:

    – Kirbys Adventure
    – Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream
    – Mysterious Murasame Castle
    – Earthbound Beginnings/Mother
    – Zelda 2: Adventure of Link
    – Startropics
    – Zodas Revenge: Startropics 2
    – NES Open Tournament Golf
    – Wario’s Woods
    – Yoshi
    – Yoshis Cookie

^ Hopefully we get these sooner rather than later so we can officially be DONE with the NES soundtracks.

Maybe it’s because I’ve heard it so much in Smash Bros over the years but Ice Climber’s soundtrack gets stuck in my head more than I’d like to admit

Lmao, I love listening to the Top Tracks Playlist as essentially a shuffle for the entire app. I might have to mark some of these as “spoiler” so I don’t get nonsense like Golf “Birdie” thrown in.

Glad they released these all at once. I was afraid they’d dedicate a full week to each random NES game with like 2-3 songs total in its soundtrack. This way, I can actually appreciate the good, classic music here instead of being annoyed that we got so little.

Hopefully we’ll get some Xenoblade music soon.

  17. No Ice Hockey? Boo…

That soundtrack is imprinted permanently in my brain. I played that game so much with my brother when we were kids!
