Meet Yutyrunt and Yuverlord, fearsome Ice/Dragon cousins of Tyrantrum! Design inspired by Yutyrannus, a much fluffier relative of the Trex that likely lived colder environments!
When scientists first discovered Yutyrunt, they thought they had discovered a regional variant of Tyrunt. However, closer studies revealed differences in the skull, teeth, and claws, and it was later reclassified as a cousin species!
Both Yutyrunt and Yuverlord are incredibly prideful Pokemon. They hate getting their luxurious feathers dirty, and will savagely attack anything that dares to step into their territory, which is often marked by rings of snapped pine trees and gouges in boulders. While masters of the frozen mountain forests and tundras, they have an aversion to fire, something that Trainers can take advantage of if they stumble upon one in the wild.
In battle, Yuverlord functions very similarly to Tyrantrum, with access to moves like Dragon Dance, Outrage, Earthquake, and Crunch. However, being Ice Type instead of Rock, it also can learn attacks such as Icicle Crash and Ice Shard, as well as a newly discovered move, Tundra Rush, a physical Ice attack that has the side effect of lowering the user’s Defense and Special Defense (essentially Ice-type Close Combat/Headlong Rush).
