I wanted to come up with my own evolutionary line inspired by my favorite animal!
Some little blurbs:
Possrunt- The Admiring Pokémon– Possrunt often have low self esteem and shy from battling. To boost their confidence they will observe stronger Pokémon in secret, then copy their moves on inanimate objects.
Abilities: Trace or Pick Up
Posstégé- The Apprentice Pokémon– This Pokémon is capable of staying awake for days on end without any sleep, thanks to its ability to conserve its energy on low during the night. It uses this sleepless state to practice its skills with others in its group. Its Day Forme has higher Attack and Speed while its Night Forme has higher Defense and HP.
Abilities: Vital Spirit or Reciever
Imposstum- The Improvisation Pokémon– Evolves from Posstégé's Day Forme. It loves to perform dances for its followers and gather a crowd for attention. In battle, it likes to copy its opponent's behaviors and frustrate them. It often carries an entourage of Possrunt students in its fur.
Ability: Trace
Signature Move: Improv– Copies its opponent's prior moves with 80% chance of critical hit.
Possipnoir- The Informant Pokémon– Evolves from Posstégé's Night Forme. Possipnoir has an excellent sense of hearing that rivals Clefable's, thanks to its multiple hidden ears. It can understand the languages of other Pokémon fluently, and can pick up on the language of humans. This makes it popular with gossip columnists. It often carries an entourage of Possrunt students in its fur.
Signature Ability- Snitch– In multi-battles, Possipnoir may forewarn its teammate of super effective attacks, cutting the initial damage by half.
Gender differences: Male Imposstum and Possipnoir carry only one Possrunt in their fur. Females both carry 3 or 4 respectively.
(Design inspos: Possrunt is just a lil' opossum, its middle stage is Art Students (lol), and its final stages are Performance Artists and early 20th century gossip columnists. I added some eyes in the final evolutions' fur to hint that they've got Possrunt hanging out with them!)
