Meet Primooz and Gigamoebus, the Megacell and Gigacell Pokemon! Designs based on giant amoebas like the classic movie monster, The Blob, with the shiny form also being inspired by bubble algae (valonia ventricosa) one of the largest single-celled organisms in the world!
Primooz and Gigamoebus are seldom seem, usually only living in the damp, dark caverns of caves and underground rivers. What appears to be eyes or a face are in fact cell nuclei and other organelles; they cannot see, relying almost exclusively on sensing vibrations and changes in air. When prey is sensed, they extend tendrils of slime with astonishing speed, engulfing and digesting them within a slimy mass…
In battle, Gigamoebus are slow, but bulky Pokemon, especially on the Special Defense side. They can use moves such as Knock Off, Sucker Punch, Poison Jab, and Gunk Shot, and can also extend their longevity with moves such as Acid Armor, Recover, and Stockpile, on top of having the valuable Regenerator Ability!
