hey guys! I've had these ideas on the back of my head and I finally came to make them real!
Meet my water starter line for an Ecuadorian region. My inspiration came from the evolution of cetaceans.
As you can see, they got extra sets of limbs, that state a change from living on the ground, to the sea! At the end, the last stage got vestigial arms and legs.
There's also the component of the head fin. The idea is that since it's such a sensible appendix, the pokemon would search for sunken ships and use them as helmets.
I was thinking of giving it the water/ghost type.
