Toxic candle salamanders interesting, combining salamader toxins with there sheen sometimes looking ‘waxy’ as it were. Do they have any temnospondyl in there designs and inspiration?

Only little gripe I have are the tails of the base form and first Evo, fire doesn’t go down
Apart from that, I would be reeeaaally interested in more lore. Like, what kind of plants do they eat? Sure they are waxy and poisonous, but since they live in caves it begs the question: how do the plants grow there? Do they have found an alternative ATP production method to photosynthesis? How do they look like? How do they spread? Pollinators aren’t really available since there wouldn’t be any bug types.
Or maybe there are, but they also have adapted to that environment
Similar to this there are probably a few more interesting questions that you could ask yourself
