I work for the county government and we have a gym that is our office. Every single day, the gym is controlled by blue team with all Pokémon there for 20+ hours, which is way past the 50 coin threshold. Without fail, when I knock out the gym, the exact same person with a tanky Blissey will knock out my Pokémon within 10 minutes. If I am fighting in the gym, she will feed her Blissey golden razz berries after each battle. I do not understand. I knocked your Pokémon out, you can’t earn any more coins today. Ellenwwind, I hope your boss knows you sit on Pokémon Go all day waiting for someone to attack your gym so you can continuously feed your stupid Blissey berries over and over again. Do you not feel shame???

Theres a group of 5 at my work that do this shit too. Sometimes out of spite Ill wait for them to be battling the gym after I’ve taken it and ill just feed golden razz berries until the game doesn’t let me anymore.
So stop fighting the gym. You are giving 50 coins and not getting anything. They may let you get coins after a while of not getting any themselves.
Take it right before a raid starts to give you at least a little while to have it

Just let them have it for a month or so and then see how they feel about letting you get a day here and there

I’m yellow team and the gym near my office is always toiled with Reds! – tanky blissey and slaking. As soon as I get in the boot me out. Like within minutes 🤣 sometimes I can tell they’re feeding berries while I’m attacking. They’re annoying and don’t get it
After you beat the gym, wait like 20 mins before placing a pokemon down. It’ll stay gray I believe so they can’t put any pokemon down. Just waste their time

Yeah I have a big, bearded, maga hat-wearing, f250-driving, Trump flag flying guy who lives right across from our park. He either has multiple accounts or his whole family plays, but he always takes the gym (that is in reach from his front porch) back immediately when he can.
And if you go attack it, he sits on his porch in his stupid hat and mirrored sunglasses and stares at you. If you go back more than once in a day, he will take his big ass German shepherd for a walk and walk slowly around the park, staring at you the whole time.
It’s super cringe.
Some people care more about controlling the gym than about getting the coins. It can be fun to see your pokemon guarding a gym. They may not even realize they’re causing an issue for you.
So people are just assholes. That’s why I make sure to put myself in multiple gyms so I can always get my 50

One of the gyms near me used to be a back and forth battle. Now they keep it during the day and I keep it at night. Works out well
My brother’s company is a gym, it’s an industrial area, so many companies around. I have the same problem as you, luckily, I don’t visit every day, so it’s not a big a deal for me.
I did find out however, he leaves at around 4:30 PM, so I love to visit my bro between 4:30 and 5PM. So now I am guaranteed my 50 coins the next morning at 6 🙂
I am the kind of person who would take a half day off, sit somewhere private and battle the shit out of that gym. Attacking and defending. Maybe even get a 2nd account involved.

Someone does that at a gym near to me too. I dont understand it. Do they not want coins? Why waste golden raspberries on preventing yourself from getting coins? They must get alerts when the gym begins to be attacked.
This was happening in the gym I can access from my house. I got annoyed and just changed teams to match theirs 🤣
Can’t you keep knocking them out? If they have to keep feeding golden razz to theirs so what? Make it a pain for them. I’d say let their Pokémon be stuck there for days but I’m guessing someone else would still knock them out.
I have a gym near me. Someone else in the area had a routine. I’d take night shift they’d take day. We each got our coins. Then a third instinct player came along and knocks us out constantly. I see them feeding berries to their Pokémon and that’s fine by me. I’ll battle you all day and you can keep burning your resources. 😈
maybe its just a spoofer. i have problems with one that takes almost all the gyms in my area as soon as anyone DARES to make them into another color than red. its so annoying. ive opened so many tickets, asked the local CM to intervene. its just frustrating that spoofing still exists in the game after so many years, and the action of some people can ruin the gameplay of the ones that play legit
If you need to get your Battle Girl medal, maybe keep fighting them until you get that? Then you DO get something out of it, just not what you’re after

I love that everyone is saying to just walk away. I choose violence. They can only give 10 berries and I will make you spend all of them.
I would battle the gym over and over. They can only have so many berries.. 😂
Same shit at my work place but they seem to have a vendetta against me specifically. If I’m first they kick me out only. If I’m mid pack, they’ll battle everyone to get me out only and then stop. If im alone, they kick me out and then leave the gym undefended. Each time i have to wait 5min before i can get back in. This might happen a dozen times during my 8 hour shift and has been happening for months now.

Find out who they are, and introduce them to Ingress. It’s the predecessor to Pokemon Go and rewards territorial behavior.
I for one am a big fan of taking gyms over late at night. Helps stall them out and get me all few more shekels.
Are they botters? Recently, I have seen many of gyms occupied by botters. They are instantaneous feed golden berry and attack the gym in any period of time.
Ha! Poor Ellen’s just grinding for that Battle Girl medal and will sacrifice gym etiquette, Blissey, and anything else that gets in the way.
