I had so much fun drawing my dog as a pokémon, so I decided to draw her again, but in a different style. Even though this is a fairly simple drawing, the design process was a bit of a struggle really. Last time I took inspiration from the eeveelutions (especially Jolteon). This time, however, I just couldn’t decide how I wanted her to look! Old school or modern? Puppy or adult? All I knew was that I wanted it to look like her, and at the same time look like a pokémon (and not just any cartoon dog).
After hours of indecision and struggling back and forth, I finally just settled for this. Still not entirely pleased, and I’ve stared at it for too long to judge whether I succeeded or not, but at least it was a fun challenge!
