You can easily solo up to three-star dynamaxes and raids and particles are free along with the daily free pass. One three-star raid and a couple of dynamax battles per day is easily achievable for a F2P account.
Yeah it’s actually pretty fucking annoying cause with 50 coins a day affording raid passes is such a pain. I don’t think I can get etarnatus tbh
i mean nothing is stopping you from doing raids and max battles for free ? personally i’m not spending a single real £ or in game coin on this event, just using the free passes and max particles
5 1 star battles costs 1250 particles and collextion limit is 1600
Im level 34 and im sure im not going to get it becuse ypu have to atleast get 50 point per day so that means atlast 3 star 3 raid/dyna raid per day is crazy imo
No nearby Power Spot and I can only afford daily free raid pass in my case. Depending on the free-to-play players situation and privilege, the point system is undeniably steep for someone who is hard to power up.

People saying “you don’t have to if you don’t want to”, that’s not the point….the point is niantic has it optimized to be difficult for f2p while others can pay to win via remote raids.
This stuff is getting so exhausting, I want to enjoy the hobby I grew up with but these events are predatory steering/guiding you to buy micro transactions just to fully participate in the event.
The issue isn’t “it’s free so you don’t have to play if you think it’s too hard” it’s “the event has such gate keeping requirements that at some point, even f2p has to spend $$$ to enjoy the event”.
Its essentially a gacha game.
Same thoughts. I mean f2p players or rural players have serious problems with this.
I will never spend a euro for a game like this, if you are a f2p player you have to spend too much time playing and it becomes stressful, at this point I prefer Pokemon on consoles, much more relaxing
One One-Star Raid (which you can do for free) and 4 One-Star Dynamax Battles (which you can do for free) gets you that 50 points every day, solo.
So I was quite negative about this. But I hit the point limit in one 1-star raid and three 1-start DMax battles already just on my lunch break. So it’s not terrible, we just got to get creative 😂
How do you even see this? I dont find this anywhere on my game

Was actually about to buy the pass but realised what I had to do to reach level 100. that’s just annoying. Hope I’ll make it to 60…

As others have said the idea behind the event is to actually go engage with dynamax, the entire event is around dynamax, and the pokemon being released is the *reason* behind dynamax.
Power spots are far more common than gyms, when dynamax released tons of rural players were stoked that they finally had enough stuff around them to engage with.
You can do a handful of dynamax a day and hit the 50 point cap, without spending a dime. And then this weekend the cap will be unlimited, and just like the last 2 times they did this style of pass for an event, activities will be worth more on the weekend (probably 250+ for a gmax raid), netting you 25 levels in one go.
It will not be overly difficult for people to obtain level 60 for the eternatus. If you can do dynamax and 1 or 3 star raids during the week, you’ll be at level 30 by the weekend, and then 1 or 2 gmax battles (host them and let people remote to you…) will get you where you need to be.
I don’t plan on spending a dime, and I’m not at all worried. What really bothers me isn’t the points system, its that the vast bulk of candy for eternatus are pay walled behind the 14 dollar deluxe pass.
I don’t think this is that bad since Max Battles don’t have to spawn at gyms, you can prob grind a lot of 1 stars unless you live somewhere that doesn’t even have businesses on google maps
When does it go live?
That’s why I’m not buying the pass or even try getting Eternatus , I can live without it and would rather do a few Gmax raids

Welll. It’s literally a Max event. That’s to be expected.
You get eternatus for free they will remove the point limit at weekend
Oh yeah it’s going to be free for people that live in like Los Angeles or Japan where they have a billion stops per square inch. But for people like me stuck out in the sticks of Alabama the only way this is going to happen is if you have 7,000 remote raid passes
I did 10 max battles already and still only got the maximum of 50pts

The thing is that there is a limit of 50 extra points per day if I’m not wrong? How are we supposed to reach to eternatus?

I’m just gonna do 3 one-star max battle solo and do a 5 star raid with my friends. I’ve never spend a dime on Pokémon go and I’ll fulfil my FOMO even as a f2p.
I just did a remote 5 star raid which didnt count towards these points. Anyone have any ideas why or how?
This isn’t a bad event, but it really highlights the issue with the times. You’re going to struggle to do a raid and 4 d-max raids if you work long hours with a 9pm cut-off
