Top 100 Nintendo Switch by Press Start



A french youtoube channel, Press Start, have released their top 100. It's three people with different tastes so they have a unique take at it with some genre being pushed, and maybe some french games too, but I think it's a good one that bring the spotlight on less known titles.

They tried to not place the ports except for the biggest one, and have place the novelty quite high so first entry is generally above the second one even if the sequel could be judged better.

There is some surprises for me but I'm glad they make a top 100 that covers the entirety of the Switch Run and weren't afraid to make a personal top rather than trying for an "objective" one. What do you think ? Any game missing ?

    Some contentious entries there, and some where you can see this is a French list (I can only imagine they really like games with terrorist clowns near the Eiffel Tower to bring Broken Sword into this list), but as an opinion I can’t really fault it too much, there are lots of games to choose from.

    No splatoon??? Kinda crazy. One of the series that really defined switch for me personally.

    Having DKC Tropical Freeze all the way down at 42 is criminal!

    No Animal Crossing, which is one of the best selling games on the system, is a surprise.

    Diablo 3 over Diablo 2R is also unexpected. I think D2R is the much better game of the two. No Splatoon has already been commented on — Splatoon 3 is my most played Switch 1 game and one of the best Nintendo online multiplayer games (probably a toss up between S3 and Smash).

    I feel like people are gradually forgetting how great Fire Emblem Three Houses was. A placement anywhere below top 20 feels so wrong to me.

    Awesome. Really impressive they’re showcasing so many indies, most of these lists are just having all the first party games and only the biggest, most obvious non-Nintendo picks. Surprised there’s no Disco Elysium, Pentiment, Final Fantasy X or Shin Megami Tensei 3 (since there’s Dark Souls or Persona 4), but I can take a list like this.
