Pokemon Go

Another one bites the dust. Pokémon GO Strike on iOS 26 Public Beta

I wanted to share my story with the community, because this is getting ridiculous.

Like u/AdFirm5514, I also got hit with a 7-day strike on my Pokémon GO account for using "modified software." I am on an iPad running the latest iPadOS 26 Public Beta.

My timeline is a little more specific. I just updated my iPad to the newest public beta build, and after that, the Pokémon GO app was a little buggy. I tried the standard troubleshooting step of logging out and then back into the game on my iPad. As soon as I logged back in, I got hit with the 7-day strike.

I have never used any cheats, unauthorized apps, or third-party tools. The only thing different is the new OS and that I had to log back in after the update. It seems pretty clear at this point that Niantic's anticheat system is flagging the new iOS and iPadOS betas as a form of cheating.
This is a serious problem for anyone on the beta program, and I hope Niantic addresses it soon. For now, it seems the only solution is to roll back to the previous stable version of the OS.
