Yveltal is one of my absolute favorite Pokémon, and pretty much since ZA was announced I have tried very hard to design a Mega Evolution for it. I seriously draw this Pokémon all the time and love it so much. An issue I ran into was it felt hard to expand on Yveltal's design. His hand wings are iconic, but trying to change them in any way just felt clunky. I have done many a sketch trying to see what felt right and what to change. Eventually, in one of my sketches I had drawn two more wings protruding from the back, and with that, my concept and design had come together. In Yveltal's dex entry, it mentions how at the end of it's life, it absorbs the life energy of everything around it and becomes a cocoon once more. The idea for this mega is that the destructive energy outpouring is so powerful, it is absorbing Yveltal's own life force, which in turn is causing it's rebirth. Idk what to say besides I love this design so much I could cry. It took so long to get here but I really think I have designed a mega evolution worthy of Yveltal. This is by far my favorite Fakemon I have ever created.
