I've joined most of my remote raids through my friend's list.
Every single one of them was an easy win.
(Helps to have some whale friends in New Zealand and SE asia)
I've also had friends join me and my buddy during raids that we thought we could just barely duo, only to find a remote raider join us and help us win it easily.
I've used this feature so many times since it was introduced. Skip the silly queues in PokeGenie and co, where you end up with failed raids due to quitters anyways..
It also works with region exclusive raids, shadow raids, etc.
I've had people jump in when I did Dhelmise and co.
