Since it’s a caterpillar the second evolution has to be some sort of cocoon, and since it looks like it’s smoking, you could make it’s eyes like red or what not, and should definitely go for a darker purple for the second evolution just to make the cocoon look even tougher

Maybe a cocoon made of smoke or if you want a butterfly evolution, maybe the wings could display intricate payterns made of geometrical shapes to allude to the allucinations that people have when smoking
(For the types, i’d hesitate between keeping psy-bug, psy-poison or bug-poison)
