What Unown is this?

My very young kiddo has recently been obsessed with Unown Pokemon. He was watching Spell of the Unown and spotted this. We can't figure out what it is.

Edited: I just want to clarify I'm not trolling here 😂 I know nothing about pokemon! My kiddo has been getting into it and took a serious liking (obsession😂) to the Unown lore/arc and somehow spotted that either in the movie or a video he was watching on YouTube. He's only 5 so cut us some slack lol. But thank you all so much for even just replying and upvoting. He's baffled by concept that 600+ people can see or even thumbs up something he likes and have an answer even if it's a silly answer or not. 😁

Genuine guess, is its the unown dimension and it uses words to release unown. But what if its just a now unused letter in a dead language.

Or it could just be meant to mimic the noise they make, but honestly its probably just a random unown drawing they used for background space

I’ve been looking at this for hours and I can’t tell either. I’m at a complete loss

I scrolled passed this at work, and for a half second thought I saw I cuneiform unown, but before I got the chance to scroll back, it hit me “That was a fucking loss unown wasnt it”

Some Unown remain Unknown because the games cannot possibly grasp how many forms of Unown there could be.

  6. It’s definitely not in the movie. The movie came out in ’01 in the US, and “loss” (the meme this references) is a meme format based on a comic from ’08.

The concept behind Unown as a Pokemon is that they are strange, mystical creatures related to different ancient writing symbols. The ones that appear in the games and most visibly in that movie are based on the Roman alphabet (the one we use in English) and a couple of punctuation marks. There are other alphabet/linguistic writing system derived Unown that can be spotted in that movie though! This is one example.

edit: I don’t see the one you’ve posted here, but the trivia section of the site Bulbapedia’s entry for Unown talks about the other alphabet Unown spotted in the movie; if you’d like more trivia for your son, you can check that out here: [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Unown_(Pok%C3%A9mon)#Trivia](https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Unown_(Pok%C3%A9mon)#Trivia)

  9. Oh man, I get your kid’s obsession.

I used to be so enamored by the Unknown and wished he got more out of them.
