Have you ever noticed that certain seemingly unrelated pokemons have a very similar body shape, upright standing, seemingly mammals, but with a massive dinosaurian tail. While in reality you can explain it as a quirk of developing design language in gen 1, I thought, what if all those pokemon share a distant relative in the past, from who they all evolved.
