Random — but my most prized pokemon is a shiny Fragment hat Pikachu (which can evolve into Raichu, thankfully). The IVs are trash.
If these Mega Raichu X/Y are released into, I might consider using my next bottle cap tbh.

We FINALLY got a mega for the Kalos starters which was in my opinion much needed from the starting as it was odd that the starter pokemon from the region of mega evolution didn’t have that gimmick.

Also isn’t the DLC like full price? I feel like full price story DLC insinuates that either the DLC or mainline game will be incomplete. I hope not, but am I gonna pre-order a $45(AUD) DLC I don’t know much about? A rational person would probably wait for more information…
Pikachu Y…I mean Raichu Y, looks like a mix of Dedenne, Gorochu, and Pikachu imo. Raichu X, looks more like Raichu, but like with some Alolanish to it. I think I like X more.

On the PvE side of things, ALL FIVE of these are very likely to be PvE relevant. Obviously, we’ll need to see how their stats pan out, but the Kalos Starters are already some of the best PvE starters out there. Giving them Megas could be very great.
Greninja has the highest potential buuuut it’s also competing with the strongest competition, Primal Kyogre.
Yes, Delphox and Chesnaught naturally have less attack in Go compared to Blaziken and Chesnaught, but it all depends on how their stats are distributed. Chesnaught having an actually good STAB fast move in Vine Whip compared to the mediocre Bullet Seed definitely could also give its Mega the leg up over Sceptile. But we’ll have to see what happens.
At least one of the two Mega Raichu seems likely to become the new best Electric Mega. Idk how the types of either will work or stats, but I’m sure at least one of the two will gain a lot of Speed and Special Attack in the Main Series, and that could bring Raichu to intriguing territory. Of the Electric Megas, Manectric is best despite having the lower Attack (286) because Thunder Fang + Wild Charge is a much better moveset than Ampharos’s (294 Attack) Volt Switch + Zap Cannon. Either Mega Raichu I expect could be somewhere around 285-300 Attack, depending on how much Attack/Speed/Special Attack they give them, and that combined with Thunder Shock + Wild Charge would make for a great Electric Mega.

I’m glad Raichu wasn’t in the leaked list we got last year, hopefully it means more surprise megas from later gen regions that didn’t get many/any so far, I’d love to see some gen 7-9 Pokemon get megas too

My 4* Delphox is finally eating
