Reuploaded because I decided to cut out the middle stage.
This is an evolution line based on a Cryptid/Fearsome Critter called the "Cactus Cat". It is a Pokemon evolution line that I made for my Fakemon region called the "Weson Region". It is NOT a Starter Pokemon, but it is a Pokemon that one may hope to find in the deserts of the Weson region.
After some heavy consideration, I decided to cut out the middle stage. I apologize in advance for the eraser marks in some of the images. I may try to redraw this fakemon evolution in the future, hopefully with less eraser marks.
Purrickly (Purr + Prickly): The Cactus Cat Pokemon: (Grass Type)
Purrickly is a playful yet prickly Pokémon that enjoys curling up inside the hollowed spaces of giant cacti. Though its barbed fur makes it slightly painful to touch, the tiny pricks serve as a natural defense from predators. Its soft paw pads allow it to scale even the tallest cactus without harm. Its claws are not sharp enough for them to cut open cacti by itself, so it relies on its parents to expose the fermented sap it loves to drink.
Jaguaro (Jaguar + Saguaro): The Cactus Cat Pokemon: (Grass/Steel Type)
Jaguaro's body is lined with steel-hardened spines protect it from most physical attacks, and damage the attacker itself. It can easily carve open an entire saguaro cactus with its claws, returning hours later to feed on the fermented sap. Though it prefers to avoid conflict, it fiercely defends both its young and its chosen feeding grounds.
