With over 3400 profile images released via Nintendo Switch Online over the years, there are tons of options for players. I compiled some of the rarest icons you might not have seen before:
- The MOTHER 3 profile icons were only available for Japanese accounts for one week in March 2024.
- The first 10 profile icons for Splatoon 2 were available for one week in April 2022 and have not been available since. These are the oldest icons to have never been rerun.
- Some profile icons have been released for participating in an online event instead of being available for purchase with Platinum Points. These include 4 Splatoon 3 events (Grand Festival, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights) and the Drag x Drive Global Jam on Nintendo Switch 2.
- A set of 5 profile icons were available for attendees of Nintendo Live 2023: Seattle. These are the only icons to-date that were locally distributed.
