I’m pretty proud of these designs.
I went with a split line with the hero/villain alternate paths but thought it’d be neat if it was a cow/minotaur kind of thing as cows/bulls seem to either be good or bad depending on the tale.
First stage is Calvian the innocent civilian, they are drawn the be small and cute and have poofy hair like the smallest cow breed. Its evolutions are based on how they live life or get an item.
If it is okay or given the heroic bell it becomes Mookid, based on the friendly highland cow, it’s kind of a “sidekick” but also supposed to be like a random teen kind of deal.
If the Mookid is very good evolves into Bulliant (willing to take name suggestions) which is a heroic Minotaur with a fur cape and large decorated horns and given a warrior monawk kind of thing that Greek soldiers had.
If Calvian are evil oe given the villainous ring it becomes a Bullzerox who are overwhelming strong and quick to anger this makes them troublesome and easy to manipulate to attack things for you.
The smartest ones evolve into Bovilord, which head is designed to be more like a dark mage and ruler it’s sort of undead and commands the Bullzerox to cause problems
