Its a legendary (because I'm oh-so original) dragon fairy type. Its guards places where pollution is killing the environment and shields the area In heavy pink fog to deter humans from coming. This mist is so heavy that breathing in too much can kill the average male in about 30 minutes. Once the area a Flostos resides in is pure again, it moves on to a new area. The name comes from the Latin words for flower (Flos) and Guardian (Custos). They're extremely rare, and a very peaceful species that wishes no harm on any form of life.
