Just a bunch of emotional words to drive buzz, no specifics. Sorry, but even some new locals (but old players) wondered why they got warnings for “bad” submissions on “seasonal” displays that have been up BUT REJECTED when I submitted AND petioned them *during the covid years*. After my ban warning for “bad” submissions, I stopped submitting, as have others.

It wasn’t clear enough. Will be there possibility to submit via browser? That would be great improvement.
It would be even nicer if they revoke my strike.

The part that I am most interested in is the “A Wayfarer Map”. Currently, if you want to check stuff for submissions, you need to use the ingress intel map with extra plugins. However, after the Scopely acquisition split, that map is getting more and more out of date. Having a dedicated map (and one that shows all wayspots, not just ingress portals) will be very good for planning out submissions and the like.

I can’t think of many communities I want to interact less with than the Wayfarer community. They have way too much “power” for such an important part of the game. And they sure love to act like it too, crazy how unfriendly and unwelcoming that community is.
A Catholic shrine on a intersection of two alleyways(where you can see manhole covers) is not private property. A outdoor fitness park with exercise machines cemented into the ground is not temporary. Why are there a bunch random coffee places as stops in bigger cities but when I submit a 50 year old coffee shop from my town and put in effort to write out its history it gets rejected for being generic?

They are going to have to pull their finger out to do this in 25/26. Perhaps they haven’t noticed it’s October 2025. Even being charitable and using fiscal years they are half way through the timeframe.

There are a bunch of toxic individuals in that community, and overall it’s unwelcoming. People often report players for minor issues instead of simply declining and moving on. Additionally, bans shouldn’t occur in POGO. Instead, the focus should be on whether a user can submit a potential POI if there is actual abuse.

Things I would want from Wayfarer:
* Specific reasons why a waypoint is rejected. My last rejection read like this:
> Our team found it did not meet the criteria required to be accepted and has been rejected. This decision could be because of the title, description, location, photo, or a combination of criteria.
Well, that’s completely useless, and doesn’t help at all in making me a better submitter.
* A little relaxation on the Pokemon Go Wayfarer medal. I’ve given up on it because my Wayfarer rating dropped below Good and so my agreements no longer count. So I just stopped reviewing. In my opinion, an agreement is an agreement. My rating is my own problem, but I should still get credit when it aligns with the groupthink.
I doubt I’ll get either.

They just need to burn wayfarer and start again. The entire community is anti fun, it ruins so much.

I desperately need a wayfarer map now that Ingress and Wayfarer are now disconnected. I submitted a bunch of wayspots while on holiday overseas and I want to be able to admire them somewhere!
