Most of the cross generation evolve will be not straight forward (use certain amount of Pokemon candies that is going to be evolve). Except for baby Pokemon are introduced in later generation than it after evolution form for expect Pichu evolve to Pikachu.
What is my motive of the comments is Applin evolve to Dripplin hence Hydrapple.
But Dunsparce evolve to Dudunsparce also cross generation evolution and it is very straight forward.
finally i can evolve my best buddy lucky hundo applin.. im at 520 candys so no problem to get the rest

If you, like me, haven’t evolved applin into the previous evolutions then now you have to save up a total of 1,000 candies to evolve into each evolution 😅😅

Considering that hydrapple is not locked behind egg hatches or raid battles, 600 candy seems much more accessable than the last few releases
