Mario & Wario???? Omg! I’ve been wanting to play that game since I saw it referenced in Super Smash Bros Melee! I was so jealous of Japan that it got a Mario game where Wario was the villain! I’m definitely gonna check it out!

  2. Steamedcarpet

I am totally here for the rebirth of Bubsy.

  3. AleroRatking

What an awesome month. Like legit three great additions.

  4. Bulky-Complaint6994

There’s still a slim chance of Luigi’s Mansion coming in the second half

  5. BigPete_A6

I feel like I was the only person who actually enjoyed bubsy back in the day.

It’s nice having another mouse game on SNES! Also it releasing outside of Japan for the first time is a nice added bonus! Can’t wait to try it!

  7. I don’t think anyone was expecting a genuine attempt at Bubsymania, but I’m here for it.

I was hoping for another GameCube game this month after they skipped last but whatever I guess. They really saving all the good games for when subscriptions renew, huh?

  9. Bubsy is on NSO. This is the most bizarre year.

Haven’t tried any of the “mouse required” things but is it really impossible to do it without? It’s a shame the Pro controller can’t be used for gyro or have the 2nd analog stick simulate a pointer/mouse. I feel like a Pro controller should be able to do everything the Joy Cons can, you know?

Was hoping for a GameCube game but this will do I guess. Still waiting to unbox the NSO GameCube Controller for when a worthy title releases

  12. Nintendo Switch Online should really have Neo Geo support. It worked for the Wii. I mean, i love that we have the port, but man its like releasing Street Fighter Alpha 2 for this.

Finally, the game with Mario wearing a bucket on his head…almost 30 years after the reference.

  14. Thanks Nintendo, you just saved me money on the collection since the first Bubsy game is still the best one.

All joking aside, this is a great update. Bubsy is still a pretty fun platform game, Fatal Fury Special is awesome, and the Japanese Mario and Wario game gives us our second mouse game.

A bit surprised we did not get a Halloween game with this update like we have with the past few years, but given we’ll likely get an expansion pack game as well this month, my bet is on either the N64 Castlevania, Resident Evil 2 on N64, or Luigi’s Mansion getting added later in the month.

I’m glad to see the positive comments in here. It’s easy to point at Nintendo and claim weaksauce, but Mario & Wario getting a western release is big, Fatal Fury Special is a world class fighting game, and Bubsy keeps us grounded… and you might be surprised to discover you like it.

I busted out the old SNES classic that I modded to have over 250 plus SNES games. We were just playing Dr. Mario but I did notice Bubsy while I was scrolling through

  17. NotAGiantAstroid

Every day without Mario Sunshine is absolute waste.

  18. razorbeamz

Absolutely bizarre seeing all the people in here trying to redeem Bubsy.

Bubsy is a VERY bad game. Bubsy 2 is significantly worse than Bubsy 1 to the point it’s near-unplayable, but Bubsy 1 is not a good game at all.

Of note, with this release we’re down to a single NA SNES game published by Nintendo that is likely to come to the service, Wario’s Woods. The others are either licensed (like the sports games), require an unsupported peripheral type (IE the Super Scope) or are held up by Pixar lawsuits (Uniracers)

  20. MamaDeloris

    Sooooo, how about that Halloween?

Might want to put up Eternal Darkness or Geist or Luigi’s Mansion 1 or Resident Evil 64 or Castlevania 1-4 or Castlevania 64 or Castlevania 64 2 or Splatterhouse or Zombies Ate My Neighbors or….

  21. Conversation_Dapper

Nobody cares about these games, we need more GameCube titles

  22. Davethe3rd

No hype for the Bogard Bros getting another game on NSO?

    The return of Geese Howard?

  23. Consistent_Waltz5071

First Bubsy game is actually decent. Great music too

  24. Bubsy getting yet another release. Plok must be hopping mad now.

  25. SituationThen4758

I wonder how bubsy got on NSO, I think that title is own by another company and they just released a collection for it a few weeks ago.

  26. Fatal Fury Special is an improvement over Fatal Fury 2 which is also on the Super Nintendo Online lineup, but man it’s no Street Fighter 2. It’s crazy how good that game was from the get go. The SNES Fatal Fury games don’t hold up to the Neo Geo versions, but they’re serviceable. The fighting is still kinda slow and less fluid than Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat or the later Art of Fighting/Fatal Fury games.
