Hello Explorers of r/nintendo!
We are Total Mayhem Games, the team behind the We Were Here series of co-op puzzle adventures. Recently, the first three entries of our series have made their way onto the Nintendo Switch!
To celebrate this, we would like to connect with you guys and answer any burning questions you may have for us in an AMA. We’d love to hear your questions about the Switch release, the series as a whole, or any other fun topic.
We will be giving away some game keys to the Nintendo Switch editions of our first 3 games, so read on if you want to get in on that!
About the We Were Here Series
The We Were Here games are all about trust, communication, and teamwork. Two explorers find themselves separated in the Antarctic wilderness and must rely on their walkie-talkies to share clues, solve asymmetric puzzles, and uncover the secrets of the mysterious Castle Rock to escape together.

About Total Mayhem Games
We kicked things off back in 2017 with the very first We Were Here on Steam: a student project that somehow grew way bigger than we ever imagined. Since then, the series has kept expanding: We Were Here Too (2018), We Were Here Together (2019), We Were Here Forever (2022), and most recently, We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip (2023).
What started as a handful of people messing around with a co-op idea has now turned into a team of 40+ folks making games full-time. Pretty wild ride so far.

Feel free to ask us anything about the recent release of the We Were Here Series on Switch, our other games, game development, the game industry, or just something funny.
We’ll be answering questions for around 2 hours, and might swing back later to reply to a few more. If we don’t get to yours, check if it was already asked by another explorer.

We will be giving away the following sets of game keys:
- 2x a pair of We Were Here keys on Switch

We will manually pick out the people who asked the most fun and interesting questions, so get creative!
The winners picked at the end of the AMA will receive a message from us. We’ll need a response from you before we send you a key to confirm you’re real.

Is it possible to turn a profit on the Eshop with inexpensive games?
What are your favorite snacks to munch on while you’re working on games?
are you working on any more We Were Here titles that would continue the story of the series?
ETA on Where are we and will it focus more on the background of the explorers? :))
Are there any plans to bring the other two games in the series to Switch? Or just the original trilogy?

I’m so happy about that! I loved playing those games on the PC with my brother back then.
How on earth am I going to convince my girlfriend to try them out with me on the Switch? Any advice?
