Was at a card shop in Kyoto when I saw a card lottery shelf, ¥1,000, ¥5000 or ¥11,000. Wife said I should go for the ¥11,000 so obviously went for the ¥11,000… No risk no reward!
Bought it and went outside to open, wife pulls her phone out document the moment. I slide open the envelope holding my breath, profusely sweating in the Japanese humidity… IT'S A… Oh, it's a basic Fuecoco…? Damn. I've been rinsedded. Absolutely gutted.
We're walking to this place for dinner and I joked and said 'maybe this is a special version of the card'. Pulled it out to double check and pull it out of the sleeve when I realize… THERE'S MORE CARDS?!
Pulled the prismatic Umbreon from between the worthless fodder and realized they add those cards in front to hide the face of the valuable card when you're picking them out.
10/10 would recommend!
